Everyone knows something a little about the Writers Strike. Even though the situation is easy for a Westerner to understand, you might not care enough to learn about the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strike since it’s a niche topic. Working-class heroes wouldn’t imagine a writer or an actor striking or unionizing. That’s why I made this list for you to watch these relevantly funny videos about unions and unionizing!
1) Boy Boy- Walmart Training Videos Are Very Strange
Boy Boy is simply two Aussies making silly little funny videos about the system. When I say funny, I meant hilarious. In their “Walmart Training Videos Are Very Strange” video, they react to the anti-union propaganda of the big yellow Walmart men.
2) Boy Boy- We ruined all of Sydney’s Uber deliveries
Another fun fact about Boy Boy is that the dark-haired guy you see on screen runs another youtube account called I Did A Thing which is about engineering with comedic nuances in its editing.
” We ruined all of Sydney’s Uber deliveries” is more of an experiment. However, it encourages us to keep up the fight. All you have to do is to watch it till the end!
3)HasanAbi-JOINING THE WRITERS STRIKE WITH ADAM RUINS EVERYTHING
Hasanabi is a political commentator on Twitch. He streams every day. Some might say he is not funny. It’s not me, some. However, his audience and editor, Ostonox, makes ridiculously funny editing on him regularly. So, in respect of the writers strike, “JOINING THE WRITERS STRIKE WITH ADAM RUINS EVERYTHING ” is worth watching!
4)Second Thought- Why Corporate America Hates Unions
Second Thought is run by The Deprogram Podcast‘s JT. “Why Corporate America Hates Unions” may not be as entertaining as the other videos. However, it’s an informative one for anyone who wants and needs to learn about unions which means all of us!
5) Hasanabi- HasanAbi reacts to FIRST Unionized STARBUCKS | Union Talk ft. Bernie Sanders
Hasanabi is a great source of politics for people who don’t want to interfere with the seriousness of politics but still want to learn about the system. This clip of his stream explains everything I’m trying to say. The union talk is very common in his streams. He probably is talking about the Writers Strike on his stream at this very moment!
Unions are significant when it comes to fighting for your rights as a worker. You can join a large organization like The Industrial Workers of the World to fight back if it’s needed!
